I'm assuming you are female. To get a date you have to do certain things.
1) Walk around with a good Attitude, and smile sometimes.
2) When a guy approach you, don't give him the evil eye.
3) Talk like a lady and not a Sailor. (don't cuss so much).

Since I don't know you the things I listed are just general things that attracts me to a woman. Once we get pass the approach, if you like the way he talks and looks give him your number. He should call in about three days.

If he calls before three days he is loser, and if it takes more than seven days for him to call he is a jerk. When he calls y'all should just talk about things y'all may have in common, he shouldn't be trying to set up a date for that night.

The bottom line for him is to have sex with you, if you give it to him on that first date the relationship is over (Unless you are super damn good in bed), and you just become a Booty Call to him. So make him wait and make him treat you like a Lady and show you RESPECT. Then when you are ready (after y'all have been dating for a few weeks) you call him up for the Booty Call.
